From Durban

Take the N2 North and approximately 50km past Empangeni, take the Mtubatuba/St Lucia turnoff (R618) to the right.

After approximately 2 km at T-junction turn left.

After approximately 800m, take the St Lucia turnoff (R618) to the right.

Approximately 25 km straight on the St Lucia road takes you into St Lucia Town.

Turn right into McKenzie Street and approximately 800 metres on the right you will find Hippo Hideaway – opposite the Spar Supermarket.

From Johannesburg

Take the N2 to Witbank. Turn off to Ogies, pass through Bethal, Ermelo, Piet Retief, Pongola. From Pongola on the N2 South and approximately 60 km past Hluhluwe take the Mtubatuba/St Lucia turnoff (R618) to the left.

Follow this road until you approach Mtubatuba and take the first turn left to St Lucia (R618).

Approximately 25 km straight on the St Lucia road takes you into St Lucia Town.

Turn right into McKenzie Street and approximately 800 metres on the right you will find Hippo Hideaway – opposite the Spar Supermarket.

From the Drakensberg

Take the R617 to join the N3 (Durban) – take the N2 North and approximately 50km past Empangeni, take the Mtubatuba/St Lucia turnoff R618 to the right.
